The Central Committee of the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League (TDSL) dispatched a team to Tianjin and Chongqing municipalities from April 15 to 18 to conduct surveys on optimizing the regional economic layout and forming new growth drivers to serve unimpeded domestic circulation, a key survey of the party in 2024.

Su Hui, vice-chairwoman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and chairwoman of the TDSL Central Committee, led the team.

Su said that Tianjin and Chongqing have fully utilized their regional advantages and characteristics in promoting the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and in the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle. The two cities have striven to form new growth poles in regional economies, and played an important role in promoting high-quality development and the establishment of a new development paradigm.

Pointing out that conducting annual key surveys is an important task entrusted by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC) to the TDSL, Su said that the TDSL Central Committee strives to implement the plans of the nation's annual two sessions and the central economic work conference, focusing on facilitating smooth domestic circulation in the surveys. It is important to summarize work experiences through frontline research and surveys, and discuss development strategies on the basis of understanding relevant situation and policies, she added.

The TDSL Central Committee will continue the in-depth research, beef up  the effort to pool wisdom and strengthen, offer suggestions centered on key national tasks, and strive to provide pragmatic references for the decision-making of the CPC Central Committee.
