He Baoxiang, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and executive vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK), led a team to South China's Guangdong province to survey accelerating the construction of an efficient and smooth modern circulation system to facilitate domestic circulation, one of the key research tasks of the year, from April 16 to 19.

At a symposium held in Guangzhou during the survey trip, He emphasized the need to advance the construction of a modern circulation system that is highly-efficient, unimpeded, modern and systematic in a coordinated way.

Increasing efforts are needed to strengthen supply chain integration and develop intelligent systems to enhance circulation service efficiency and reduce social circulation costs, He said. The focus is also on improving public service platforms, developing multimodal transportation, nurturing and growing circulation enterprises, and ensuring fast information flow and unimpeded logistics.

More policy support should be rendered for innovative empowerment and talent cultivation to advance the development of new technologies and business models in the industry, He noted. In addition, to build a seamless modern circulation network connecting domestic and international markets, it is essential to optimize regional circulation layout, enhance infrastructure planning, and benchmark against international circulation standards, He added.
