A team led by Zheng Jianbang, vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, visited Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on Sept 21 and 22 to conduct survey on building a modern logistics system.
The team, sent by the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK), visited the Xi'an International Logistics and Trade Park and the local logistics park of e-commerce giant JD.com, and also held a symposium as part of efforts to formulate quality suggestions.
Zheng, also executive vice-chairman of the RCCK Central Committee, hailed the importance of a logistics system to the development of China's modern industry, domestic market and regional economic integration.
He called for more efforts to deepen supply-side structural reform, promote technological innovation, and enhance the efficiency and synergy of the logistics system through innovative business forms and organizations.
