Rice paddies in Helan county, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, are being designed to celebrate the Communist Party of China's centennial. 

Original green paddies are reshaped into various patterns including a boat with Chinese characters for Hongchuan Jingsheng, meaning the "red boat spirit", a reference to the Party's founding fearlessness. 

The field is located in the Rice and Fish Ecological Tourism Zone of Helan county, which covers 1.7 square kilometers. Tourists can try out different farm activities and buy organic rice. Around 200,000 tourists visited last year.
