The Chinese National Commission for UNESCO, together with the Ministry of Culture, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Committee for Man and the Biosphere Programme, the Ministry of Urban-Rural Development and Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Forestry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will prepare documents on the Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage specifying the criteria and procedures for joining the convention. The documents will be submitted to the State Council and the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for review and approval.
