Education

Currently, the level of primary education in Lushunkou has been constantly improving. Groups of universities and research institutions continue to choose to settle in Lushunkou, including Dalian Medical University, Dalian University of Foreign Languages, Dalian Jiaotong University, Liaoning University of International Business and Economics, Dalian Institute of Science and Technology, Scientific and Technological Park of Dalian University of Technology, and Sinopec Lushunkou Research Institute.

Economic development

With a profound later-development advantage, Lushunkou is increasingly becoming more prosperous. On Nov 23, 2009, Lushunkoukou was approved by the State for further development, ushering in an era of international economic exchanges and cooperation on broader and higher levels.

On March 3, 2010, Lushunkoukou was given approval by the provincial government to be incorporated into the key development area of the Liaoning Coastal Economic Belt, and positioned as a green economic zone, allowing Lushunkou to enjoy more preferential policies, better and faster development, as well as a platform for constructing a green industrial system.

To attain new achievements in scientific development, the Lushunkou government has further strengthened the development orientation of Lushunkou as a green economic zone, namely, by building Lushunkou into an International Tourism Resort of Northeast Asia, a Combination Harbor of the Northeast Asia International Shipping Center, a Historic and Cultural Area, as well as a Science & Technology Innovation City.
