The fishing ports in Lushunkou have attracted a large number of foreign fishing vessels. Accessible layout, complete facilities, high standards of management and high-quality service has transformed these ports into a hub for berthing and operation.
Dongtuo Fishing Port
Located in the Dongjiacun Village (Lushun Economic Development Zone) it can be found at east longitude 121°07'and north latitude 38°5'.
Built in 1987, Dongtuo Fishing Port was identified as the central fishing port by the Ministry of Agriculture in 2004. It began its expansion project in September 2004, which was completed in June 2006 after an investment of 50.93 million Yuan.
Dongtuo Central Fishing Port contains a 580-meter breakwater region with a water area of 780,000 square meters and a land area 230,000 square meters. The fishing port is now available for the berthing of 2,000 fishing boats, with an annual throughput capacity of 80,000 tons. A 1,200-square-meter sewage treatment factory capable of processing 20 tons of water per day was also built. It is also the only anti-typhoon fishing port in the district capable of resisting against Level 12 winds.
Bolanzi Fishing Port
Located in the Bolanzi village, Tieshan street, Lushunkou, it lies at east longitude 121°13' and north latitude 38°45'.
Founded in March 2001, it is a fishing port by excavation with a total investment of 30 million Yuan. There is a breakwater of 300 meters, pier of 1,200 meters in total, harbor basin area of 40,000 square meters and land area of 53,000 square meters. The east-south channel is 1,200 meters long and 180 meters wide, with a basin depth ranging from 2 – 10 meters with an average depth of 6 meters.
The port is able to serve 10,000 inbound and outbound fishing boats annually and has an annual throughput capacity of 50,000 tons. The port possesses one icehouse of 1,000 tons, one reservoir of 100 tons and two oil tanks of 100 tons. It is capable of resisting against Level 7 winds.
