Recently, President Zheng Nanning met with the visiting registrar of Oxford University Professor Ewan Mckendrick in the 4th meeting room on the 16th floor of the Main Building. The two men discussed university administration, student exchanges, talent development and research cooperation, and reached a preliminary agreement on a substantial exchange and cooperation program between the two universities. The director of Department of International Cooperation and Exchange Liang Li and the dean of the School of Law Professor Shan Wenhua attended the meeting.

Besides his administrative responsibilities as the registrar of Oxford University, Professor Mckendrick is also one very authoritative scholar in the field of comparative commercial law in the world and he has published many books. While he stayed in XJTU, he attended the Third Senior International Seminar of Silk Road on International Economic Law and also delivered lectures to the students.
