The Public Affairs Officer of American Embassy to China Tom Skipper and his party visited XJTU
On the afternoon of October 20, the Public Affairs Officer of American Embassy to China Tom Skipper and his party visited XJTU. Vice president Lu Tianjian met with the leaders of the delegation in room 107 of the Science Hall.
The vice president Lu Tianjian welcomed visitors from American Embassy to China to visit XJTU and he introduced the history and culture of Xi'an and said that XJTU played an important role in the local economy and social development. He hoped that the American Embassy to China would encourage more American students to study in XJTU.
Tom Skipper expressed that it was his first time to visit the ancient capital Xi'an. The thick culture and developed economy impressed him deeply. He expected that in the future, more American students would come to study and live in such university as XJTU, which was significant for erecting Sino-American friendship bridge.
After the meeting, Mr. Tom Skipper met students of the School of Foreign Studies.
