More Xiamen companies buy export credit insurance in May
In may, 60 more companies in Xiamen bought export credit insurance, a 185.7 percent increase from the same period last year, and an increment of 3.6 times that of last month.
By the end of May, the number of companies covered by the insurance reached 898, the highest ever, and an increase of 16.2 percent from a year earlier.
From January to May this year, the total amount of insured imports reached $4.51 billion, an increase of 16.2 percent from the same period last year. The insurance has had 35.5 percent general trade covered, which is a significant increase of 6.4 percent year-on-year.
