President of Peruvian Supreme Court visits National Judges College
On May 28, a Peruvian delegation headed by Javier Arévalo Vela, president of the Supreme Court of Peru, visited the National Judges College (NJC) in Beijing, where they were received by Li Chenglin, head of the Political Department of the Supreme People's Court of China.
Li briefed the delegation about the main functions of the NJC, its training programs, teaching staff, curriculum design and the latest development of international judicial communications. He expressed the hope to continue deepening friendly exchanges, jointly provide a strong judicial guarantee for the Belt and Road cooperation, and strive for new development in the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
After listening to the introduction from the Chinese side, Arévalo introduced Peru's judicial system and training of judicial staff. He also gave a thumbs-up to the Chinese model on judge training.
After the talks, Li accompanied the delegation to visit the NJC's library.
