Li Yong was born in August 1966 and is a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC). He holds an undergraduate diploma and has an LLM (Master of Laws) degree. He is the Vice-president and member of the Leading Party Members' Group of the Supreme People's Court (SPC), a member of the SPC's judicial committee, the Presiding justice and secretary of the leading Party members' sub-group of the Second Circuit Court of the SPC, and a Grand Justice of the second rank.
