Courts to innovate judicial modes, provide modern litigation service
Courts were required to innovate judicial modes and continue to develop the modernization of litigation service center to benefit the people during an inspection by Jiang Wei, the Supreme People's Court (SPC) vice-president, in Hunan province on Dec 24.
Jiang affirmed Hunan's courts' innovative achievements in upholding the principle of "justice for the people" and in constructing a modern litigation service center. He said Hunan's courts have set a model for others to copy.
One of the inspected courts, the Changsha Intermediate People's Court, released guiding cases for special affairs and another, the Yuhua District People's Court, has adopted the split-flow model which diverts complicated and simple cases into different channels to improve judicial efficiency and quality.
Jiang stressed the need for courts to administer justice for the people and to continue innovating judicial modes while focusing on the transformation and upgrading of the litigation service center.
Meanwhile, Tian Liwen, secretary of the Party Leading Members' Group of the Hunan Provincial Higher People's Court, said courts at various levels in Hunan province must promote the center and generally meet the diversified judicial needs of the people.
During the inspection, Jiang also visited an exhibition on the 40 years of reform and opening-up.
