The new provisions on prohibitory injunctions in intellectual property disputes were issued on Nov 26 and will be effective on Jan 1, 2019. A prohibitory injunction is a court order that stops one party from taking or continuing to take an action that negatively affects another party until the matter can be heard in court.
It is a critical provision to improve the injunction system and protect intellectual property and will have a positive influence on scientific innovation, cultural prosperity, operational integrity and healthy competition, said Song Xiaoming on the press conference.
