Second Circuit Court of SPC opens to public

The Second Circuit Court of China's Supreme People's Court (SPC) opened to the public on Oct 10, attracting NPC deputies, CPPCC members, teachers and students from colleges, personnel of courts at the basic-level, community members, and the press.

The National People's Congress (NPC) is China's top legislative body, and the China People's Political Consultative Congress (CPPCC) serves as China's top advisory body.

NPC deputies, CPPCC members, teachers and students from colleges, personnel of courts at the basic-level, community members, and the press join the press conference. [Photo/chinacourt.org]

Presided over by Wang Ling, an inspector from the SPC, the Second Circuit Court opened a press conference at 9 a.m.

Hu Yunteng, chief judge of the Second Circuit Court, spoke about judicial practices and reforms made since its establishment on Jan 31, 2015.

Public representatives visited the court after the briefing and some sat in on a property dispute trial in the First Court of the Second Circuit Court at 10:30 a.m.
