Chen and his ex-wife received compensation of 549,900 yuan ($82,465) for the sudden death of their son when he was working in Ningxia.

Chen promised to send 170,000 yuan to his ex-wife, but failed to do so.

Chen's ex-wife filed a lawsuit against him and won the case.

However, Chen refused to follow the court order and secretly transferred the money.

Chen was arrested in June and sentenced to six months in prison. He expressed deep regret for his failure to act as ordered by the court.
