An economic and trade cooperation exchange was recently held in Tai'an, where representatives from 14 countries and regions participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, such as Colombia, Moldova, and Laos, gathered at the foot of Taishan Mountain to explore cooperative opportunities and plan for mutual benefits.

During the event, 50 business representatives from BRI countries and regions presented their investment and trade policies, areas of external cooperation, and projects. Nearly 200 Tai'an entrepreneurs engaged in detailed economic and trade discussions with representatives from various countries, resulting in numerous collaboration intentions.

"We welcome Tai'an companies to invest and develop businesses in Colombia. We hope to collaborate more with clean energy companies, trade enterprises, as well as in the fields of education and tourism," expressed Ingrid Chaves, executive director of the China Chamber of Commerce in Colombia. They also aim to invite more students to study and visit Tai'an, fostering the outbound and inbound flow of technology companies.

As economic and trade exchanges between Tai'an and BRI countries become increasingly frequent, Tai'an manufacturing and products have found a fast track for trade.

This year, the municipal trade promotion association of Tai'an has strengthened trade promotion platforms and channel advantages, and promoted practical cooperation with BRI countries. Several promising trade cooperation projects have been initiated, with Tai'an enterprises now present in countries and regions such as Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Belarus, and Laos.

Statistics show that the city has established economic, trade, and cultural cooperation relationships with over 30 countries and regions, and has formed relationships with 28 friendly or cooperative cities in 21 countries.
