According to the latest travel policy, tourists who travel to Shandong via the Jinan-Zhengzhou High-Speed Railway can receive a discount of at least 50 percent on tickets to A-grade scenic areas. The discount will be available within a three-day window starting from the date on the ticket.

This policy will be in effect from Dec 9, 2023 to Feb 8, 2024.

The discounts can be used for entry to 99 scenic areas in Jining, including two 5A-grade scenic areas such as the Temple and Cemetery of Confucius and the Kong Family Mansion, and the Weishan Lake scenic spot. Additionally, there are 19 4A-grade scenic areas like the Nishan Sacred Land, the Temple of Mencius, the Liangshan Mountain scenic area, and the Taibai Lake scenic area.

The Jinan-Zhengzhou High-Speed Railway, which opened on Dec 8, has reduced travel time between the capital cities of Shandong and Henan provinces.

The opening of the Jinan-Zhengzhou High-Speed Railway has brought opportunities not only for Jining but also for the entire tourism market in Shandong province.
