The 7th local economic cooperation joint commission meeting between Weihai and Incheon was held in Weihai, Shandong province, on June 27. The meeting helps foster dialogue, business collaboration, and people-to-people exchanges between Weihai and Incheon.

At the meeting, the sides renewed their memorandum of economic cooperation, further focusing on exchanges in trade, economy, and cultural spheres, aligning business development needs, and achieving mutually beneficial growth.

During the discussion segment, relevant departments from both cities engaged in in-depth discussions on 12 topics spanning education, cultural tourism, logistics, industry, and trade, reaching multiple consensuses.

A representative from the Weihai Municipal Bureau of Commerce expressed confidence that, building on the momentum of the meeting, cooperation between the two cities will advance into broader areas and reach higher levels.

An Incheon official emphasized that maintaining regular communication is the foundation for smooth dialogue and enhancing cooperation potential and expressed hope that both sides would work together to deepen and solidify cooperation in multiple fields.

Since 2017, the two cities have engaged in in-depth discussions on over ten fields, including industry, trade, science and technology, logistics, culture, tourism, medical care, and sports, reaching multiple consensuses and establishing an important platform for exchange and cooperation between the two regions.
