Shandong province held a promotional ceremony on Feb 26 to mark the start of construction on 1,007 major projects with a total investment of more than 1.2 trillion yuan ($166.6 billion). These projects are poised to provide new solutions to promote industrial structure upgrading, enhance infrastructure and improve the livelihoods of Shandong residents.

There are 390 provincial key projects, 314 city-level key projects, and 303 county-level key projects.

Furthermore, there are 600 private enterprise investment projects, 338 State-owned enterprise investment projects, 56 government investment projects, and 13 foreign-funded enterprise investment projects.

The construction of major projects is crucial for stabilizing economic operations and promoting high-quality development.

These 1,007 projects feature a large investment scale, high industrial quality, and a wide range of investment sources. They will further optimize the industrial structure and inject strong impetus into green, low-carbon, and high-quality development in Shandong.
