Across Shandong province, the new year has gotten off to a strong start. Various departments and organizations in Shandong are working diligently on their annual plans, fast-tracking project development and attracting investment. Enterprises are also racing to fulfill orders and recruit workers.

In the Yinan County Food Industry Park in Yinan county, Linyi, the construction site of the Zhongdi Dairy fresh milk processing project is a hive of activity. Workers are busy laying bricks, painting, and installing ceilings.

With a total investment of 1.83 billion yuan ($250 million), the project focuses on high-end dairy product processing and is set to begin operating this July. The project will have an annual fresh milk processing capacity of 400,000 tons and is expected to generate sales revenue of 5.2 billion yuan.

As construction on the project gains steam, enterprises are also stepping up their efforts to fulfill orders and recruit workers.

Shandong Changlu Hong Tire Co Ltd, located in Yinan county, Linyi, is a modern tire enterprise integrating the production, sale, and international trade of semi-steel high-performance radial tires. It is also the leading export enterprise in Yinan county.

According to company chairman Yin Changhai, the company's orders are booked until the end of April. To ensure timely delivery, the company started work on the orders on Feb 13. All 600 employees have already returned to work.

On Feb 19, the 2024 College Graduate Job Fair was held in the Shinan district of Qingdao. More than 30 local enterprises participated in the job fair, offering over 500 job positions and attracting over 300 jobseekers.
