Shandong is an important birthplace of Chinese civilization and an important window for the world to understand China. The province will host the "Global Gen Zer Dialogue with Shandong" event during the 2023 Global Youth Conference, which kicked off on July 7 in Jinan, the provincial capital.

This Gen Z dialogue, as one of the parallel forums of the 2023 Global Youth Conference, aims to build a platform for the world's youth to learn from each other and grow together. This event is set to contribute to the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.

During the event, international and domestic youth will share their understanding of Chinese culture and their impressions of Shandong's development.

The video titled Global Gen Z Talks about Shandong will be released, which focuses on the concerns and interest points of audiences at home and abroad. It will also show that Shandong is open, inclusive, innovative and pragmatic in the eyes of international youth.

Prior to the dialogue, the Gen Z Shandong tour was held, during which young people from more than 10 countries and regions visited Weifang, Jining and Jinan to learn about the protection and inheritance of traditional Chinese culture, and to explore the innovative vitality of Shandong's economic and social development.
