Senior Chinese legislator attends opening ceremony of seminar for parliamentarians from Pacific Island countries
Peng Qinghua, vice-chairman of China's National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the fourth seminar for parliamentarians from Pacific Island countries in Beijing on July 21.
He said that China's NPC is willing to deepen friendly exchanges and cooperation with legislative bodies of Pacific Island countries, jointly contributing to promoting bilateral relations and building a China-Pacific Island countries community with a shared future.
More than 40 parliamentarians and legislative officials from 10 Pacific Island countries participated in the seminar.
