Officials who were granted letters of appointment took an oath of allegiance to the Constitution at a ceremony held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on June 26, following the conclusion of the 23rd session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee. Wang Dongming, vice-chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, presided over the ceremony and administered the oaths.

The appointees are Wang Zhonglin, vice-chairperson of the Environmental Protection and Resources Conservation Committee of the NPC, Zeng Ping, deputy director of the Legislative Affairs Commission of the NPC Standing Committee, and Zhang Zhu, minister of agriculture and rural affairs.
