A team led by Cao Jianming, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), visited Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region from Sept 21 to 24, to inspect the enforcement of the law on the promotion of rural vitalization.

To vitalize the countryside in accordance with the law, it’s important to give top priority to industrial development, make talent cultivation a vital endeavor, promote social civility in rural areas, protect the ecological environment, and enhance rural governance, said Cao.

During the inspection, the team heard reports on the law enforcement and visited the region's Aksu prefecture to conduct field checks.
