Ningbo athlete Wang Chang, together with his doubles partner Liang Weikeng, has been chosen to represent China at the 2024 Paris Olympics, as announced by the Chinese Badminton Association on May 22.

After nearly a year of qualification tournaments for the badminton event at the Paris Olympics, the Chinese badminton team clinched 10 slots across five events, becoming the only team to fill all available positions for the Olympics and marking the first time in 8 years that the team will participate in all events.

Wang and Liang are set to compete in the men's doubles event, alongside the other Chinese duo, Liu Yuchen and Ou Xuan Yi. The latter pair secured their spot after overcoming tough competition at the 2024 Badminton Asia Championships held in Ningbo, further strengthening China's representation in the men's doubles event.

The badminton tournament at the Paris Olympics is scheduled to take place from July 27 to Aug 5 at the Porte de la Chapelle Arena, with a total of 172 athletes competing for glory — 86 male and 86 female players evenly distributed.
