Better services benefit Tongzhou residents
Tongzhou district in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has made efforts to improve services for local residents over the past year.
For example, a digital governance platform has recently been put into use in the district, aiming to improve efficiency in handling basic administrative affairs.
Tongzhou authorities have also expanded the services that can be provided by hotline 12345, and a related application has been launched as well.
Over the past year, the hotline has handled 315,094 affairs, an increase of nearly 100 percent year-on-year.
The county's official government website has also been upgraded into a more useful platform, in which people can share their opinions and search for needed information.
In addition, one-stop services have been provided at Tongzhou's registration center for real estate.
