Tongzhou makes strides in industrial development
Industrial development has been an important driver of the economy in Tongzhou district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, in recent years.
The district now has a complete industrial chain for auto parts, new generation information technology, and intelligent equipment.
Located in Tongzhou, the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone has 15 enterprises that specialize in aluminum die casting. In addition, the industrial cluster of electronic components in the zone has been included in the provincial industrial cluster list.
The zone is currently home to 55 national and provincial "little giant" enterprises and 324 high-tech enterprises.
In the first three quarters, the output value of the high-tech industry in the district increased by 14 percent year-on-year.
The output value of high-tech enterprises above the designated size accounts for 42 percent of the district's total.
At present, Tongzhou is home to 150 provincial key projects and 20 listed enterprises.
By the end of 2025, the district aims to have 50 enterprises with turnovers in excess of one billion yuan ($143.91 million).
