Innovation drives high-quality development in high-tech zone
The Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone has been making innovation the main driver of high-quality development in recent years.
Introducing high-tech small and medium-sized companies is one of the measures taken by the zone authorities to boost innovative development.
Authorities have organized more than 70 online cooperation fairs and introduced 60 scientific and innovative projects so far this year.
Local high-tech enterprises have also been encouraged by authorities to participate in various scientific and technological entrepreneurship competitions.
This year, three enterprises in the zone won the third prize in the 10th edition of the Jiangsu Technology Entrepreneurship Competition.
PI Semiconductor (Nantong) Co Ltd is one of the award-winning enterprises. It was introduced to the zone in May and started productions in November.
This year, the taxable turnover of the company is 50 million yuan ($7.16 million).
Great strides have also been made in creating a business-friendly environment in the zone. One of the measures taken is the designation of professional personnel to guide the development of local high-tech enterprises.
This year, six enterprises in the zone made the list of "young eagle enterprises" and six were identified as "gazelles".
