Chongchuan holds three-day New Year carnival
The Chongchuan Cultural and Tourism Special Promotion Event opened at the Qunying Pavilion on Jan 1, delivering a three-day New Year carnival for residents and tourists alike.
Local intangible cultural heritage items such as Nantong paper-cutting, Nantong sugar painting, and Tangjiazha rice wine were prominently featured. Artisans demonstrated their exquisite skills on-site, attracting many residents to watch and participate firsthand.
Stage performances were a highlight, featuring original songs, street dance routines, and traditional music concerts performed in succession. Interactive quizzes and magic shows further charged the atmosphere, keeping attendees engaged throughout. During the New Year holiday, Chongchuan also launched an opera costume exhibition and a New Year's Eve concert, resulting in a vibrant celebration while revitalizing the living heritage of local intangible cultural heritage.
