The New World Chamber Orchestra delivered a spectacular performance at the Nantong University Concert Hall in Nantong, Jiangsu province, on Dec 12.
The orchestra showcased their superb skills with renditions of Igor Stravinsky's The Soldier's Tale and Petrushka Suite, Maurice Ravel's Mother Goose Suite, and Astor Piazzolla's Adiós Nonino and History of the Tango.

This concert highlighted the diverse exploration of classical music from traditional to modern, featuring masterpieces by 20th-century musical giants. Thanks to the orchestra members' harmonious teamwork, the sharp rhythms and dramatic intensity of Stravinsky, the gentle tones and fairy-tale-like poetry of Ravel, and Piazzolla's fiery nuevo tango blended seamlessly into a stunning performance.
Founded in 2022, the orchestra was created through a partnership between NTU's International Cooperation and Exchange Office and the School of Liberal Arts. Italian conductor Roberto Fiore acts as the artistic director and chief conductor and its members come from top music schools worldwide and within the country.
