The eighth China International Import Expo opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai on Nov 5, and starting that day, a delegation from Nantong, Jiangsu province, are expected to head to Shanghai in batches to participate.

The Nantong delegation, made up of 5,003 members from 1,170 enterprises and institutions, will concentrate on core sectors like food and agricultural products, medical devices, and technological equipment. By conducting targeted pre-event matchmaking, they have identified many procurement intentions, establishing a strong foundation for efficient purchasing at the expo.

Cultural exchange is a key aspect of CIIE. Three Nantong enterprises—Nantong Laotianbao Jewelry, Cao Yuxing Dyehouse, and Jiangsu Busy Man Textile—are showcased in the Jiangsu Cultural Exchange Area. They will exhibit products that highlight Nantong's unique features, conveying the story of the Nantong brand.

During the expo, Nantong will also hold a special event called "Dialogue with Multinationals" at the National Exhibition and Convention Center. This event is designed to boost investment in Nantong by encouraging direct interactions with multinational companies, ultimately enhancing the quality and efficiency of foreign investment in the city.

This year's CIIE theme is Connect Globally to Share a Bright Future. The exhibition spans over 430,000 square meters and features more than 600 new companies, including 290 Fortune 500 firms and industry leaders, setting new records for both size and participation.
