Six international influencers, each with hundreds of thousands of followers, explored Nantong, a city in East China's Jiangsu province, from Sept 13 to 15, sharing the Chinese city's unique stories with the world.

At the Nantong Blue Calico Museum, these vloggers participated in the art of making blue calico, a skill recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. In the Nantong Foremost Hats Museum, they explored the craftsmanship of headwear, while at Dieshiqiao International Home Textiles City, they observed the process of turning threads into finished products, learning that Nantong's home textiles now reach over 130 countries.

The trip also highlighted Nantong's rich maritime culture. At Lyusi Fishing Port, the influencers enjoyed freshly cooked seafood while listening to the engaging stories of local fishermen.

In Qitang City, a Tang Dynasty (618-907)-themed park, they stepped back in time, experiencing living history amidst spectacular performances and the enticing aroma of Tang-style tea snacks — an experience many described as "a thousand-year Tang dream".

Nantong's lively daily scene also made a strong impression. From clam pies to sesame cakes, each flavor was a reflection of the city's unique character. In Qidong, influencers captured the stunning moment when the sunrise painted the sea with golden hues.

For some, it was a long-awaited journey. American vlogger @cookwithnidi described the pufferfish as "unforgettable", while Vietnamese creator @tuanang, on his second visit to China, said that Nantong's blend of culture and vitality revealed "a whole new side of China" to share with his fans.
