The Danish children's animated music concert Musical Adventures of Cirkeline and Coco is set to be held at Nantong Gengsu Theater in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Aug 3, kicking off a fantastical fairy-tale music feast for local residents.

The protagonist of this concert is the well-known Danish fairy-tale character, the matchbox elf Cirkeline. Created by Danish children's playwright Jannik Hastrup in 1957, this classic figure has matchstick-like black hair, a red polka-dot dress, and a penchant for walking barefoot. When she encounters Princess Coco from a country claiming "chocolate grows on trees", a marvelous adventure unfolds.

As a highlight of the 2022 China-Denmark International Children's Arts Festival, this concert is the result of collaboration between Chinese and Danish artists and won Best Film at the Chicago International Children's Film Festival and the Crystal Bear Award at the Berlin International Film Festival. Popular among European children, it has been performed in several countries including Denmark and Sweden and has become one of the most exciting parts of the China-Denmark International Children's Arts Festival.
