Wu Xinming, Party secretary of Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province, met with a delegation led by Rahim Amidi, co-founder of the US company Plug and Play, on April 20.
Wu provided a brief overview of Nantong's economic and social development, highlighting the city's strategic geological location along the coast, in proximity to Shanghai, and its convergence with multiple national strategies such as the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region.
Wu said that Nantong is committed to promoting high-standard opening-up and building itself into a modern industrial city at the forefront of technologies, adding that it will present abundant market opportunities and expansive development space for foreign enterprises.
Wu expressed the hope that Plug and Play, leveraging its technological, managerial, and branding strengths, would assist more Nanjing enterprises in expanding globally.
He also pledged to foster a market-oriented, world-class business environment governed by a sound legal framework to provide quality services to all enterprises.
Amidi said that his company intends to deepen comprehensive cooperation with Nantong. The organization will actively seek to introduce resources and expand its business domains to better facilitate Nantong's industrial and corporate growth, contributing to the city's high-quality economic and social development.
