Their cultural journey started with a cultural bazaar held at Nantong State Foreign Language School, where traditional Chinese crafts such as tanghulu (sugar-coated haws on a stick), paper-cutting, and lacquer fans were showcased. They also showcased their own cultural specialties, fostering a blend of Chinese and foreign cultures.
Venturing into Nantong Feiyun Craft Furniture Co, the group observed raw wood carvings, had a hands-on experience with traditional Chinese sunmao (mortise-and-tenon) joints, and toured the company culture exhibition hall.
"Traditional Chinese woodworking crafts are truly incredible, with impeccable attention to detail," said Theodore Stahl.

Then the international guests marveled at the majestic grandeur of the Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Yangtze River Bridge, one of China's major transportation projects, as they stood under it.
Their tour culminated with an exploration of the InterContinental Dream Island. Wandering through romantic cherry blossoms, lush dawn redwood forests, and flower-filled terraces, they were deeply impressed by the natural beauty.
"This is my first time here, and the cherry blossoms are so beautiful. I love it," Ruche said, snapping photos with her phone.
This event not only served as an international cultural exchange but also brought Tongzhou's charming stories to a global audience.
