South Korean diplomat visits Chongchuan to strengthen ties
Kim Young-jun, the consul general of South Korea in Shanghai, and his delegation visited Chongchuan district in Nantong on Feb 19 for a tour and discussions on further cooperation.
During the meeting with Kim, Yang Wanping, the district director, highlighted Chongchuan's growing partnership with South Korea, particularly in trade and economic cooperation. He expressed hope that the consulate general and the South Korean government would continue to foster deeper exchanges and encourage more South Korean businesses to invest in Chongchuan.
Kim noted that he was deeply impressed by Chongchuan's rich cultural history and ecological environment. He also gained a better understanding of the district's general situation and the industrial landscape of the Shibei High-Tech Zone. Kim emphasized that the consulate general would continue to promote Nantong and Chongchuan to local governments, businesses, and citizens in South Korea, aiming to expand cooperation in fields such as trade, technology, and cultural tourism. He also expressed hope that more South Korean tourists would visit Chongchuan to experience its unique charm.
During the visit, Kim and his delegation also toured the planning exhibition hall of the Shibei High-Tech Zone.
