The China Clothing Textile Accessories Expo Mel 2024, one of the Jiangsu Premium Products Global Tour exhibitions, commenced in Melbourne, Australia, on Nov 19, with 14 enterprises from Nantong, Jiangsu province, participating.

Exhibits from the Nantong enterprises included fashion apparel, home textiles, and innovative textile fabrics, with highlights being Jiuding Knitting, Nantong Camilla Fashion, and Nantong Aomian Textile.

These exhibits attracted numerous overseas buyers, and within just two days several companies reached preliminary cooperation agreements with local and international buyers.

Participating in this exhibition has enhanced the international influence of Nantong's textile and apparel industry, while also allowing Nantong enterprises to further expand into overseas markets and strengthen international cooperation.

Since its inception in 2001, the expo has been held 26 times, becoming Australia's largest and most effective professional international exhibition for textiles and apparel.

Since 2011, the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province has co-hosted the event with the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles. This year's event was the largest ever, with 497 companies from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, and other Chinese provinces participating, occupying 543 booths and covering a total area of over 5,000 square meters.
