Haimen establishes first village-level road station
The Touqiao road station located in Sijia town, the first village-level road station in Haimen district, Nantong, Jiangsu province, was recently completed, greatly helping to improve rural roads in the area.
The station offers 15 motor vehicle parking spaces, two separate restrooms, free tea and water, and rest areas. Plans are in place to install charging stations in the future to meet the community's needs for a better travel experience. To date, the station has provided temporary rest services to approximately 240 people, including sanitation workers, delivery drivers, and local residents.
In addition, the Touqiao road station includes a variety of unique functions. By integrating surrounding unused land, it has created the NuoNuo Cultural Leisure Farm, making the area a multifunctional zone that combines parking and relaxation, shopping, leisure, picnicking and camping, as well as games and entertainment.
In recent years, Sijia town has been leveraging the transportation advantages of rural roads to reap economic benefits. By utilizing rural roads such as Guoxin Line, Rulong Road, and Longyou Road, the town has attracted significant external investments and developed multiple ecological agriculture and aquaculture projects, including the Badao Crab Breeding Base, Quanshi Fruit Industry Base, and Shengli Strawberry Garden.
In the future, Sijia town will implement various projects such as ferry guesthouses and village cycling routes. By connecting various spots along rural roads, the town aims to enhance the quality of rural road services, contributing to rural vitalization efforts.
