Overseas warehouse owned by Haimen firm to boost local foreign trade
The overseas warehouse project of Jiangsu Dieshiqiao Home Textiles Industry Group, a company located in Nantong's Haimen district, attracted a significant number of visitors at the recent Nantong Cross-Border E-commerce Product Selection event.
The warehouse, located in Germany, represents a major practical step forward by the group in building a service model integrating various trade formats. The overseas warehouse has been awarded the "Jiangsu Provincial Public Overseas Warehouse Qualification".
With a total investment of $20 million and a total area of 30,000 square meters, the warehouse offers services including brand marketing in the Europe, product display, customs clearance, warehousing, after-sales services, and logistics distribution.
"Our overseas warehouse is located in Dusseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia in western Germany, close to important European ports such as Amsterdam in the Netherlands and Antwerp in Belgium, enabling delivery to any European country within 72 hours," explained the group's overseas operations officer.
The establishment of the overseas warehouse allows for timely responses to local sales orders, enabling direct sorting, packaging, and distribution from the warehouse. This not only expands the number of product categories and saves on costs but also reduces intermediary steps, facilitating local sales and distribution.
"The Dieshiqiao (Germany) overseas warehouse is our first pilot warehouse. Since its opening last year, the warehouse has been fully utilized. After operating for over half a year, we believe this model has been very successful," said Jia Changwu, general manager of the company.
Jia stated that the group plans to expand overseas warehouse operations in Southeast Asia, South America, the Middle East, and Africa. It expects to establish no fewer than five overseas warehouse locations within the next three years, with an operating area exceeding 30,000 square meters and revenue exceeding $60 million.
