Cross-border e-commerce businesses seek opportunities in Nantong

The 2024 Nantong Cross-Border E-Commerce Selection Exhibition was held at the Nantong International Convention and Exhibition Center on Sept 5, amassing nearly 300 exhibitors from leading platforms such as Amazon and TikTok.

Spanning three days, the exhibition boasts an area of 14,000 square meters and is set to arrange promotion meetings, livestream competitions for cross-border e-commerce businesses, and job fairs.

"Nantong boasts a robust industrial foundation, with notable strengths in sectors like home textiles, apparel, and power tools," noted Liu Tao, Amazon's senior director of government affairs.

Liu outlined plans for a collaborative effort with Nantong, focusing on initiatives such as industrial belt development, brand globalization, cross-border e-commerce talent cultivation, and local service improvement.

He added that by identifying and supporting local standout enterprises, Amazon aims to help them uncover new avenues for growth within the global marketplace.

Another exhibitor from Nantong said they received orders from 124 enterprises at the exhibition, an increase of 66 enterprises from the last edition.

He believes that the Nantong Cross-Border E-Commerce Selection Exhibition has become an important platform to showcase the strength of Nantong and even Jiangsu in industries.
