Donghai Airlines plans to resume international flights from Nantong in Jiangsu province to Jeju Island in South Korea from Sept 2 to Oct 26.
The flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays, using a Boeing 737-800. The flights to Jeju Island will depart from Nantong at 1:50 pm and arrive in Jeju Island at 4:30 pm, while the return flights will depart Jeju Island at 5:30 pm and arrive in Nantong at 6:10 pm. The above flight times are local time.
Flights between Nantong and Jeju Island have been suspended for four years.
Sun Xiaogang, marketing manager of Donghai Airlines in East China, mentioned that this is not only the first international route resumed by the airline company in Nantong this year, but also the first such route resumed by the company this year.
Sun explained that Donghai Airlines has offered four planes for overnight flights from Nantong to Quanzhou, Zhuhai, Chengdu, and other cities.
Considering the demand for family visits and tourism during the Spring Festival travel season, the airline company will add flights from Nantong to Nanchang, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, and Tianjin, providing more travel options for local residents, noted Sun.
