Tongzhou district in Nantong, Jiangsu province has been actively promoting the updating of equipment among manufacturers to enhance their production efficiency and facilitate intelligent development.

Since the implementation of the "Plan for Promoting Equipment Upgrades in the Industrial Sector", Tongzhou has applied for two industrial equipment upgrade projects with a total planned investment of 510 million yuan ($71.09 million), seeking 59.37 million yuan in funding. There are 51 ongoing equipment upgrade projects with a total planned investment of 6.17 billion yuan, with equipment investments amounting to 3.89 billion yuan.

Furthermore, Tongzhou provides subsidies equal to eight percent of the new equipment purchase amount for technological renovation projects ranging from 2 to 5 million yuan. A total of 48 projects have applied for the first batch of district-level special funds for industrial enterprises' intelligent technology transformation.
