Russian ballet troupe performs 'Cinderella' in Nantong

Russian Far Eastern Children Ballet performed the classic ballet Cinderella at the Gengsu Theater in Nantong, Jiangsu province, on July 28.

The story, based on the original Grimm's Fairy Tales, was told through a series of graceful ballet movements.
As the lights gradually brightened the stage, the exquisite settings and gorgeous costumes immediately captivated the audience. Throughout the performance, whether it be the riveting solos, emotionally charged duets, or lively group dances at the ball, the unique charm of Russian ballet was on full display.

The whimsical plot and choreography were paired with lively and melodious music. In particular, Cinderella's solo dance served as a narrative thread weaving through the entire production. The characters in the play were also vividly portrayed, including the wicked stepmother and stepsisters as well as the charming prince, leaving a lasting impression.

Established in 1969, the Russian Far Eastern Children Ballet has evolved over the years to become one of Russia's prominent institutions for ballet education. Renowned in the industry, the troupe plays a crucial role in nurturing new talent in classical ballet and preserving the art form. They have toured over 20 countries on four continents.
