Hai'an firm launches innovative plasma atomization powder production line
A new plasma atomization powder production line was put into operation on May 20 by Jiangsu Pinde New Materials Co Ltd.
This marks a significant achievement for the company as it focuses on cutting-edge technology, becoming a breakthrough pioneer in plasma atomization powder technology within China.
Located in Hai'an, Nantong, Jiangsu province, Pinde New Materials is a research and production-oriented enterprise that provides 3D printing materials, technology, and services. Setting itself apart from traditional gas atomization powder technology, the company utilizes its independently developed plasma atomization powder technology to produce titanium alloys and high-temperature alloy powders.
"We employ ultrasonic atomization powder technology, raising the material's melting point to 2,500 Celsius, meeting the production needs for the majority of aerospace and aviation 3D printing powder materials," said Zhang Yan, the company's general manager. According to Zhang, breaking technological barriers can address issues such as poor stability in bulk production of metal powders, high production costs, and significant emissions during the production process.
The company has planned seven plasma atomization powder production lines capable of producing high-quality metal powders like titanium alloys, aluminum alloys, and copper alloys. "Upon full operation, the annual powder production is expected to exceed 400 metric tons, with annual sales surpassing 200 million yuan ($27.59 million), contributing over 30 million yuan in taxes," stated Hu Yuhua, the company's chairman.
