Jiangu Lize Zhidao Hydrogen Energy Technology Co Ltd, located in Rugao Economic and Technological Development Zone, focuses on the research and development of anion exchange membrane (AEM) water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment.
Explaining the concept of "green hydrogen", the company's operations director, Chen Yicheng, said that it involves the direct decomposition of water using renewable energy to produce hydrogen. This process emits zero carbon dioxide emissions, unlike traditional methods.
The innovative AEM hydrogen production technology developed by Lize Zhidao is the first of its kind to be developed in China, with the key breakthrough lying in the catalysts and membrane electrode materials within the electrolysis cell. "Through the improvement of critical equipment materials and core structures, we have developed a new generation of equipment that combines high performance with low cost," Chen said.
After the release of the new product, Chen revealed that they anticipate orders to be in the dozens. "In the second half of the year, we plan to invest nearly 100 million yuan ($13.86 million) in the development of a 50-cubic-meter AEM electrolysis cell and construction of pilot production lines. Next year, our focus will be on developing 200-cubic-meter single-module electrolysis cells and achieving mass production."
Chen said that the company will explore hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and applications in the future.
