Both local residents and tourists from other cities showed great interest in flower viewing. Both the 500,000 tulips in Yuantuojiao Resort and the 300,000 peonies at Langshan Mountain scenic area have burst into bloom, while the Junshan Mountain scenic area has been dyed purple by Chinese violet cress.

Rural tourism was another popular option among local residents for a spring outing. The vast stretches of flowers, rustic scenery, country-style kitchens, and parent-child activities at Nantong Agricultural Park attracted children to go outside and reap the gifts from nature.
