Nantong kicks off culture, tourism promotion event

The 2024 Nantong Spring Culture and Tourism Consumption Promotion Season, the first of its four seasonal events this year, was launched on April 5.
The city unveiled 20 flower-viewing spots, 12 spring delicacies, 10 spring travel routes, and over 50 activities revolving around culture and spring travel at the event.

The promotion season will run for three months. From April to May, the city aims to attract a diverse range of tourists by promoting its culture and tourism resources in Shanghai and other cities as well as in local universities, residential communities, and companies.
The "10,000 people touring Nantong" activity is scheduled for local residents and tourists from Jiangsu and other provinces during the three-month promotion season, inviting them to enjoy the city's charming scenery during this warm spring.

Nantong Museum for Chinese wisteria, from April 15 to 23.
Peony Garden on Langshan Mountain for peonies, from March 28 to May 6.
Junshan Mountain scenic area for Chinese violet cress, from late February to April 20.
Seyuan Garden for tulips, from March 16 to April 15.
Nantong Zhouji Menghuan Island for cherry blossoms, peach blossom, Chinese wisteria, and Chinese roses, from late March to late May.
Pingyuanchi village in Rugao for rapeseed flowers, from April 1 to 30.
What seasonal delicacies to enjoy in Nantong?
Shrimp, crabs, clams, globefish, freshwater mussels, steamed green wheat, Shigang cake, and qingtuan, or green glutinous rice balls with stuffing.
