Located in the Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone in Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province, Xingi Technology Co Ltd's ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene project stands as an important initiative in the development of new materials in the county.

The project is a 2023 provincial-level project and consists of two phases. The first phase includes the construction of production facilities, product warehouses, and supporting production auxiliary facilities. Upon completion, the project is expected to produce 20,000 metric tons of high-strength ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber annually, with an estimated annual sales revenue of 4 billion yuan ($556.17 million).

The second phase of the project, once completed, is expected to achieve an annual production of 50,000 tons of medium-strength ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber, with anticipated annual sales revenue of 1.2 billion yuan.

Zhu Jianjun, the company's general manager, explained that out of the planned seven factory buildings in the first phase, three have already been constructed, and one workshop has commenced trial production, aiming to reach a production scale of 3,000 tons per year.

"Two buildings are currently under construction, and two more are scheduled to start construction in June. By the end of this year, all seven factory buildings are expected to be completed and operational," Zhu added.

Ultra-high molecular-weight polyethylene fiber is considered one of the world's top three high-tech fibers, known for its unparalleled strength and wide use across various industries.
