With the 32nd East China Fair underway in Shanghai from March 1 to 4, 76 enterprises from Nantong, Jiangsu province, are participating in the fair to expand into Japanese and South Korean markets.
These Nantong businesses have set up 100 booths in the home textile, daily consumer goods, garment fabric and accessories, and ready-to-wear clothes exhibition areas.
Many participants noted that many of their regular customers are in attendance and showing strong intention to cooperate, and that many fair-goers are particularly interested in new products.

In addition to showcasing products, a number of Nantong participants actively attended the project matchmaking activities and forums to seek more business opportunities.
Supported by the Ministry of Commerce, the East China Fair is organized by the department of commerce in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and six other provinces and cities. The fair this year set up six exhibition zones with a total area of 126,500 square meters for apparel, textile fabric, household articles, decorative gifts, overseas exhibitors, and cross-border e-commerce businesses.
This year, the Nantong municipal bureau of commerce has organized local foreign trade companies to sign up for international exhibitions including the China Import and Export Fair to secure more orders and tap more markets, providing strong momentum to a flying start for the city's foreign trade in the first quarter.
